My name is Matthew Holtry and I am a Manager at Noblis in the Center of Digital Excellence (CoDE). I am a PMP Certified project manager, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and a Certified Scrum Master (CSM). I obtained my Bachelor's degree from Juniata College, a tiny liberal arts school in Pennsylvania, and my self-designed program of study included a combination of Information Technology and Peace/Conflict Studies which, in hindsight, is a perfect fit for a career in Agile transformation work. I also obtained a MBA in Strategy and Finance from Penn State University.
I have almost a decade of experience managing cross-functional teams. I have served as an Agile Coach, a Product Owner, and a Scrum Master across multiple teams, primarily in the Federal Government consulting space. My Agile/Scrum experience includes aiding in the justification of a transition to Agile when faced with opposition, helping teams make the transition from "non-Agile" methods to Agile/Scrum, and facilitating discussions to help existing Agile/Scrum teams get better at what they do.
In my free time, I enjoy most things outdoors, and I have a special soft spot for the National Park Service. I plan to visit every National Park in my lifetime, and my son's name is Bryce.

In my current duties as a Manager within the Center of Digital Excellence (CoDE) at Noblis, I am helping with the establishment of an Agile Lab as a meeting space for all of the Agile/Scrum teams in the company, I am co-leading the creation of an Agile Community of Practice to discuss best practices and share resources, and I am contributing to the creation of an Agile Readiness Assessment Tool as a resource for us to understand a current/potential Agile adopter's readiness for adoption and potential leverage points to increase the chances of successful adoption. I generally serve as an Agile evangelist throughout the company as needed.
