Morten Espeland enrolled at the technical university in Trondheim (NTNU) after his compulsory army service was finished in 1988. Graduating with a Master in Physics, he spent half a year at the UCM in Madrid under a EU exchange program and some months with "odd jobs" before getting his first proper job doing software development in the small company Conoptica near Trondheim, staying there for nearly twelve years. In 2006 he joined EMGS, becoming manager of the Software Group in 2008. Programming languages used in chronological order: Basic, Pascal, C, Actor, C++, Python. The favourite is C++. EMGS was introduced to Scrum in late 2006, starting it's first sprint in January 2007. Morten is both the manager and the product owner for the Software Group in EMGS.
