I'm strategist and designer specialized in User Experience, helping stakeholders and developers to develop good user experience capabilities.
Spent most of my childhood in United States before joining Rakuten in 2008, largest B2B2C (business-to-business-to-consumer) model e-commerce company in Japan.
I served as UX Designer for over 4 years focusing on building start-ups and working at large-scale projects to untangle complex business and customer requirements from user experience perspective.
I then transferred to become the UX Strategist, preferring to help people understand the right questions in order to solve or clarify UX issues from earlier stage. My greatest accomplishment in this position (so far) is 'Customer Experience Mapping'; where I develop customer journey maps demonstrating the interaction of customers with the product across a variety of touch points.
In my public life, I'm a featured speaker as HCD-Net certified Human Centered Design Specialist at several web design forums and events. I also enjoy visiting other companies to conduct User Centered Design Workshop for raising awareness of UCD methodology and User Experience Design.
