John C. Callaghan

As a Senior Project Manager with expertise in technology marketing project planning and management across diverse internal, customer, and partner stakeholder groups I am in search of a company embracing Agile Methodology.

Throughout my career, I have been recognized for excellence in planning and implementing complex projects that drive improved processes, sustainable efficiencies, and bottom-line results. Global Technology Solutions, Project Manager - VMware • Managed projects from inception through project tracking, website assets, and go-to-market readiness; developed guidelines to align virtualized 'end-user computing' with 'server' and 'core infrastructure' layers.  • Created architecture design planning for desktop virtualization; optimized user knowledge, engagement, success.  • Managed the development of guidelines for large-scale deployment simulation of virtualized desktops; defined the  design elements for capacity metrics and assessing the impact on a virtualized infrastructure for continued growth.
 
Rapid Deployment Program (RDP) Manager, Microsoft SQL Server - Microsoft • Managed a $1.7M budget to drive a SQL Server release; defined the RDP strategy and milestones, secured technical resources, and secured RDP customers.
 
Senior Engagement Manager / Online Services Group   - Microsoft • Automated the campaign queues and optimized customer touchpoints; generated >50% increase in outbound communications; targeted Microsoft product users. [Drove 10.4B emails.]
 
Enterprise Solutions Manager - Microsoft   • Implemented the integration of two consulting firms with a combined staff of >200; recommended compensation changes, ensured consultant transition, and communicated integration status/risks to the executive team.

Business Development Manager  - Big Bay Technologies • Drove marketing and channel development; created the go-to-market plan, pricing, national ads, and web content, and created a two tier regional representative program for East and West coasts (Regional Reps and Resellers).

Business Development Representative - IBM Corporation • Provided business funding justification for an incubator program to enable start-up (VC portfolio company) Proof of Concept and deployment of UNIX on IBM products; IBM approved $2.5M funding.
