Biography

  • Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering area, at UFRGS (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul).
  • He currently dedicates himself to training and consulting activities in Software Engineering, Project Management and Agile Methodologies.
  • Graduation University Professor (FACENSA, UniRitter) and Post Graduation (UniRitter, Unisinos).
  • Instructor/Consultant of Agile Methods at T@rgetTrust Training and Technology.
  • Associate Consultant at Surya Software Innovation.
  • Coordinator of Technologies Applied to Information Systems with Agile Methods Qualification Course (UniRitter).
  • He worked as the Technology Director of a company in the open source and free software sector for 9 years. He developed tens of projects with PHP, Java and C/C++ technologies, using Agile Methodologies.
  • Pioneer in Agile Methodologies in Brazil, where he has worked since 2001, with special emphasis on Lean, SCRUM and eXtreme Programming.
  • Certified SCRUM Master (CSM) and Certified SCRUM Professional (CSP) by SCRUM Alliance.
  • Lecturer in tens of national and international events on the theme.
  • He participated in the technical review of the book "eXtreme Programming Explained", by Kent Beck, launched in 2004 by Bookman.
  • Founder of XP-RS/GUMA, where he works as vice-coordinator.
  • Editor of the InfoQ Portal, Brazil edition.
  • Member of the IASA (International Architecture Software Association), ScrumAlliance, ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) and SBC (Brazilian Computing Society).
