Biography

Dave Spooner is an enthusiastic and adaptable Scrum Master, Development Manager, and Project Manager with seven years experience in New Zealand and the UK.

Dave's experience as a C# Developer, Project Manager, Scrum Master and Development Manager has built an excellent breadth of knowledge about all things agile, as well as the whole software development industry.

Having consulted for a range of clients, Dave has introduced Scrum and Kanban into multiple development teams.  With experience in all aspects of Scrum from introduction to new teams, coaching developed teams, and evolving experienced teams to strive for continuous improvement; Dave lives and breathes agility.

At Oasis Dave has built an internal Application Development team from scratch, with a strong focus on Agile development principles and automated testing. The Application Development team now manage all software development and maintenance of Oasis' IT solutions, bringing previously contractor supported software in-house.

Responsible for data retrieval and SQL database design, financial applications, website architecture, online portals, and the intranet; the development team is continuing to grow as they demonstrate the value of in-house software development to the company.

Dave is currently managing a development team and multiple projects of approx £500k. His driving focus is building self organising and motivated teams, and Scrum is a great methodology to facilitate this.
