Doug Evalenko is a Senior Systems Engineer with FGM, Inc. in Reston, VA. He began his career with Los Alamos National Laboratory and was subsequently involved with large Department of Defense related programs. As a long term voting member of an American National Standards Institute data standardization committee, Mr. Evalenko was involved in the early development of the International Standards Organization (ISO) 11179 Metadata Registry standard and was a U.S. delegate to ISO meetings held in Paris, France that established the initial framework for this standard.
Mr. Evalenko holds both SCRUM Master and SCRUM Product Owner certifications and is currently supporting large government programs using Agile Software Development concepts. SCRUM is particularly valuable for empowering teams of individuals to quickly produce system deliverables in a consistent manner. Properly administered, SCRUM provides an excellent project management approach for accelerating development and delivering high quality results via a series of smaller increments than traditional development methodologies allow.
