Christy Myers is a Senior Program Manager for Audience & Multi-Platform Technologies (AMPT) within Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.’s (TBS, Inc.) Technology, Operations & Strategy group. In this capacity, she leads a team of Program and Project Managers responsible for the management, coordination and integration of various programs and projects in support of the CNN Digital project portfolio. She has developed and implemented policies, standards and procedures for business operations while at Turner and has been instrumental in the introduction and adoption of Agile and Scrum for CNN Digital.
Christy joined Turner in 2006 as a certified project manager with seven years of experience from IBM in the development and delivery of information and technology services, where she demonstrated a proven ability to successfully lead, control and execute complex global projects and develop high performance teams.
Mrs. Myers values people and by focusing on both the business objectives and the needs of the people delivering those objectives, she has been able to drive action further on the frontlines. She is not just interested in getting the best out of people, but also cares about doing what is best for them.
Mrs. Myers is a member of several professional organizations including the Project Management Institute (PMI) and its Atlanta Chapter, PMI® Program Management Office Specific Interest Group (PMOSIG), Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), Women in Technology (WIT), Scrum Alliance and the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC). In addition, she is involved in and volunteers for a number of civic groups throughout the Atlanta community, leads projects yearly for Turner's Volunteer Day and was a member of the Turner Corporate Responsibility Council in 2009.
Mrs. Myers earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Information Systems from the University of North Carolina and is PMP and ITIL Foundation certified. She is a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and was recognized at the Women of Color (WOC) STEM conference in October 2010, where she received a Technology Rising Star Award.
