Congyue is the head of the SEPG (Software Engineering Process Group) in Guangzhou Communication Institute (GCI) in China. She has 18 years experience in the Information Technology industry, in which includes 8 years experience in software project management, and software engineering, 6 years experience in software process improvement.
Congyue has deep interest in Scrum and CMMI. She has strong passion in introducing and practicing Scrum in software projects as well. One of her currently main working area is to find suitable ways for different software organizations and software projects to successfully combine Scrum with CMMI. She and her colleagues established a new project management process which is based on both Scrum and CMMI. A couple of software projects are implementing this process under her guidance.
During 1998 and 1999, Congyue worked as a visiting scholar in Department of Computing Science in University of Newcastle upon Tyne in UK. She co-translated Capers Jones’ significant book Estimating Software Costs: Bring Realism to Estimating into simplified Chinese with two others and published it in 2008.
