Biography

Bruce Winegarden specializes in helping organizations improve their software and systems development with pragmatic adaptation and adoption of both Agile and Lean practices. He recently completed an engagement as Director of Agile Program Management Office at Vertafore where he guided enterprise scale agile adoption using Scrum to achieve unprecedented visibility into costs, quality, and schedule for dozens of concurrent product development projects. Bruce’s agile evangelism began in 2000 at Product Sight, where he led an extreme programming team who developed enterprise web applications. Since then he has coached, guided, and championed adoption of agile software development methods as a consultant and as an executive.

Bruce delivers Agile consulting, analysis, coaching and training. He is a popular speaker at user groups including Scrum Gathering 2011 and Agile 2009. Bruce coached a startup software company on Lean-Agile business plan, prioritized product backlog, and iterative contract development to quickly prove market assumptions following a Lean Startup model. He has also completed several projects using using UML to feed scenarios for Agile teams following Domain Driven Design.
