The scope of the project is to enhance and maintain new changes to support the GFBO System. The GFBO application is distributed into Web, Batch, ASYNC, and 24/7 using JSF, J2EE technologies with Oracle as the back end. The enhancement activity includes the development of components according to the new requirements from global users. The maintenance activity includes fixing of bugs, production support ticket / incident handling.

Project Description (WSMT-BOE)

Work Statement Management Tool – Basis of Estimate (WSMT-BOE) is the design / rehost of existing access based tools like (BOE, WSMT, CPL) used by Boeing for estimating work packages. The scope of the project is to design, develop, enhance and retire old applications into Work Statement Management Tool and make the application a one stop SOW Estimation Tool across Boeing. The WSMT application is designed as a distributed modular application using JSF, J2EE technologies with Oracle as the back end. The enhancement activity includes the development and merging of components according to the new requirements from other Labs / Organizations. The maintenance activity includes fixing of bugs in the re-hosted WSMT application.

Project Description (FTCS)

Flight Test computing system (FTCS) is the core module that used by Boeing for conducting flight tests. Flight Test computing system is basically used to validate the flight parameters for commercial Boeing aircrafts like 737, 747, 777 and upcoming 787. The existing legacy system has been ported to J2EE technology. The Flight Test Computing System (FTCS) is a computing platform used to ensure that every airplane produced by the Boeing Company meets U.S. and foreign government certification standards.  Due to the various shortcomings in the existing application and business reasons, the Flight Test Computing System Next Generation (FTCSNG) is designed during the re-host activity to replace the existing FTCS application. The FTCSNG application is designed as a distributed modular application using J2EE technologies with Oracle as the back end. The re-host activity includes the analysis of the existing application, development of the new modules / components and migration of the existing data from IDMS to Oracle database.
