Brett A Tramposh, entered the software QA field in 1990 in Portland Oregon while working for ADP Dealer Services division in downtown Portland. I had a wonderful opportunity to learn from quality professionals like Margie Davis and Hilly Alexander, Estelle Golden and many others. My career has taken several turns and always returns to my roots in quality assurance. My most stressful position was definitley Director of Quality Assurance for McAfee consumer products during the initial stages of Vista compatibility. Trips to DELL computer and a constant barrage of unhappy customers made me really appreciate what it meant to be compatible in 23 million different user environments across the globe. I spent most of my time in airplanes traveling between our engineering sites in India, Ireland, Canada, the UK and California. 24 hour cycles in a follow the sun process in both classic waterfall and agile development cycles that had many of us working outselves into the grave!
My days are now more focused on delivery of a best in class fraud prevention system in a SaaS model at iovation, serving various markets on keeping internet fraud under tight control. Its a lot of fun and many challenges that keep me up thinking, and I like that! A great group of people and a fantastic outlook make it a wonderful place to work. Looking forward to adopting a more agile approach and using the skills I've learned as a SCRUM Master.
