12 years experience in the Software/IT services industry as an entrepreneur, software developer, technical leader, coach and project manager.
Started in the role of Software Developer, followed by a period where I ran my own web IT consulting company (HQC Consulting) oriented towards business web based solutions which formed strong all-around process skills (business, negotiation, human resources, SDLC). Then at Isthmus (nearshore IT services outsourcing), initially as a Software Developer, then as a Technical Leader, and finally as a Project Manager, which included not only project management duties but being in charge a business unit or program (account management, coaching, hiring, etc), as well as close PMO participation.
As a Project and Integration Manager in Roundbox Global, responsibilities included: product development, customer specific implementations and its integration with existing applications. Also gave close support to the PMO with the implementation and improvement of different processes and practices as the company´s size and needs grew and changed radically during his presence in the company.
As a Project Manager in EX2 Outcoding, tasks included product development and maintenance (Agile based practices), new SDLC processes implementation and improvement, and team integration practices, all under a transition scenario where this management was moved from the US to Costa Rica, for productivity increase matters.
Successfully performed the Project Manager role at Hewlett-Packard for worldwide transition and transformation IT infrastructure related multi-million dollar projects.
Currently performing the Project Manager position at IBM.
