Biography

I am currently working as a development manager, agile consultant/coach with HCL Technologies, Noida. I have been practicing and learning agile more than 5 years out of my total 13 years of software development experience.

 

I have more than 13 years (5+ years in Scrum) of experience in managing Java/J2EE projects on a diverse range of BFSI applications using Agile (Scrum) and waterfall execution methodologies. On domain side, I have good exposure in BFSI domain (Banking, Investment, Payments, Basel 2, Mortgage and Insurance (P&C)).

 

I have been executing various types of projects like development, testing, support, product development and implementation. I have experience of working with some of the Major Banks, Investment and Business Giants around the globe like RDA, Pearson, StoneRiver, Fidelity Investment, RBS, ABN AMRO Bank, Boots, and Sumitomo Wiring System Etc. I have vast on-site experience across the globe (USA, NETHERLANDS, and JAPAN).

So far he has covered some of the important topics like sprint zero activities, step to meet milestone, transition from waterfall to Agile, improve project quality, Agile Appraisal Process, agile change management, challenges in distributed agile, function point estimation etc.

 I am a development project expert from program management perspective. I am providing consultation to the development projects. I am working as an development manager and agile consultant/coach and my responsibilities are:  Guide and mentor offshore team for the iGovern product development from technical, functional and program management side  Agile coaching to offshore team and customer for NHVR project  Helping team to transition from waterfall to agile  Providing agile training to offshore teams as well as customers  Helping product owner to create and prioritize the product backlog  Creating agile transition strategy and working with the teams on the floor to make the strategy successful  Helping the team on their day to day deliverables and making sure that they complete their committed task on time with the required quality  Organize the preplanning and planning meeting with the team and identify all the dependencies during the meetings  Set all the agile processes including Estimation, test management and defect management for the pilot projects  Track the deliverables progress with the help of the JIRA/Rally tool for agile  I am also working on various RFPs within HCL for customers in Europe and US  Have worked in large size RFPs to contribute in FP estimation, delivery model, methodology, and WBS (project plans) etc.  I am also reviewing the development projects contract/SOW

Objective of this project is to develop an Insurance product in the Property and Casualty (P&C) domain. Responsibilities:  Responsible for the end to end delivery of the project  Very close monitoring of the each sprints with the help of a sprint tracker and sprint management review  Customized and implemented all the QMS related processes as per the scrum  Implemented some good Metrics to track the Scrum based project; SLA based defect management  Handling Recruitment, Resource Planning and Tracking etc  Responsible for Agile based Performance Management/Appraisal for the entire team  Executing some of the important monthly activities like Early Warning Indicator for all the resources, Demand Planning, Billing, Timesheet Reporting, Status Reporting, Customer Facing Dashboard etc  Good experience on how to improve the team’s productivity; implemented some good techniques  Done an Attrition Analysis because of the high attrition went through because of the industry nowadays and implemented various actions to reduce the attrition in the team.  Very good experience in data analysis, data interpretation and issue management  Providing Agile training at the Organization level; Active member of the NCR scrum forum
