Biography

Mr. Anand Bhartia is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP, PMI), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified ITIL Foundation. Mr. Bhartia is Owner of Agile Community of Practitioners @ iGATE with responsibility of proliferating agile practices across organization and customer engagements through various initiatives.

Mr. Anand Bhartia has been working in the area Application Development (AD) - Consulting Practices. Mr. Bhartia’s responsibilities includes providing AD Consultancy and Support to Pre-Sales & Delivery teams for effectively engaging and executing AD programmes, Execution and mentoring agile projects,  Developing innovative engagement models, methodologies, frameworks, practices & tools to enrich QZen. Mr. Bhartia has also executed projects as Agile Project Manager, worked as Solution Architect providing AD Consulting, Pre-Sales Support and Presentation to existing customers and new prospects.

Mr. Anand Bhartia, while at North America, from February 2004 to February 2010, was instrumental in demonstrating programme management capabilities. Mr. Bhartia was deployed on two strategic engagements to facilitate large programmes with distributed and multi vendor delivery model. Mr. Anand Bhartia was involved in providing consulting and pre-sales support; facilitate projects executed by iGATE team in the area of application development. As part of this job, Mr. Bhartia was responsible for Programme and Project Deliveries; Programme Coordination, Presales support, Proposals, Customer Presentations, Developing Strategic Engagement Solutions for customers and recommending solutions to improve productivity. This required Mr. Bhartia to conduct his duties using various proprietary frameworks & models developed within iGATE. Mr. Bhartia’s delivery excellence and solutions approach fetched tangible benefits to customers and iGATE.

Health Care Project @ UK scope included development, testing (Manual & automation) of enhancements in Agile Scrum Methodology. Customer had to scale up the teams to meet the delivery timelines. During customer visit, I demonstrated iGATE capabilities with respective distributed agile deliveries. I traveled at customer location to understand their agile practice and bridge gaps that would help establish ground rules for distributed agile execution in a multi-vendor scenario. Started with 1 offshore team which scaled further to meet product scope and delivery timelines with quality and customer satisfaction as key success indicators. As a Scrum Master, facilitated both the Product Owner and the team. Below here are basic responsibilities: • Remove impediments/ obstacles that are preventing the team from accomplishing its sprint goals. • Radiate information so to ensure that a team’s progress and successes are highly visible to all stakeholders, including the team itself • Support the Product Owner various activities like communicating updates and impediments as well as assisting with backlog and release plan maintenance • Facilitate creativity and empowerment for the development team • Improve the team’s engineering practices and tools as needed; to fully facilitate productivity • Act as a hub for all communications i.e ensure that everyone—the Product Owner, the team, and various other stakeholders—are always up-to-speed. • Manage project development from the beginning putting forward agile principles with above Scrum Master Roles and Responsibilities. • Management of projects activities in PeopleSoft 9 which includes (HRMS, Finance & PMS) • Facilitate team to arrive at commitment on sprint scope, goals and deliverable's that support business goals in collaboration with PO, senior management and stakeholders. • Develop full-scale agile release and sprint plans and associated communications documents for scrum ceremonies. Trading Project scope included enhancement of existing Web Application in Agile Scrum Methodology. This also had to port functionality from existing Desktop application to the Web Application. Defining distributed agile development model and implemented the same. In no time, customer confidence of executing agile projects in distributed environment was reinstated. I was able to establish this putting forward the best practices and principles of agile development methodology. This brought immense value to customers business and ongoing engagement. At start of the engagement, I traveled to customer location and put together the product backlog for the release, Sprints were planned, ground rules were discussed considering distributed and multi-vendor scenario. While at onsite executed a set-up sprint and initiated development & Testing sprint which continued from offshore location. As Scrum Master, facilitated both the Product Owner and the team.
